Last year Range Rover unveiled its design for the Evoque; it's not your traditional looking SUV/Crossover type of vehicle. It will be available as a 3 door and 5 door models, both look equally amazing. Even before it has been released the Evoque has won its first award, the much coveted accolade of best production car in the 2010 Car Design News, Car Design of the Year awards has been given to the designers of the Evoque.

This year the competition for the best production car award was fierce, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and the Audi A7 provided good arguments. The Car Design of the Year award is given a lot of significance because it represents the opinions of automotive designers, including a number of leading industry Design Directors who sit on the judging panel.

The award was presented at the Car Design Night at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show; the award was accepted by Gerry McGovern who is the Design Director at Land Rover.  On accepting the award he said, "I am delighted to accept this prestigious award on behalf of the Land Rover Design team. This is a particularly special accolade as it is represents recognition from peers in the industry."

The award was presented by Eric Gallina who is the Car Design News Editor, he said "The Evoque represents the best translation from concept car to production vehicle we have seen recent times. It's clear to see why it was chosen. The Evoque translates the brand identity of Range Rover to a smaller, very relevant product, without becoming retro or derivative."It's clear to see why it was chosen. The Evoque will be available at Land Rover Hampshire later this year, many believe it is the first model that will give Range Rover its own brand adjacent to Land Rover; we'll have to wait and see how that pans out. Related Evoque wins its first award Issues

Question by : Why don't democrats whine about rich democrats and socialists? -6/4/12 The Sun, London: “HEALTH workers are driving swanky cars at the taxpayers’ expense, The Sun can reveal. Top-of-the-range motors leased for staff include 22 Alfa Romeos, 69 Audis, 27 BMWs, seven Mercedes, 39 Minis, two Volvo XC60s â€" and the new Range Rover Evoque” -8/13/10 USA Today: At a time when workers' pay and benefits have stagnated, federal employees' average compensation has grown to more than double what private sector workers earn, a USA TODAY analysis finds. Federal workers have been awarded bigger average pay and benefit increases than private employees for nine years in a row. The compensation gap between federal and private workers has doubled in the past decade. Federal civil servants earned average pay and benefits of $ 123,049 in 2009 while private workers made $ 61,051 in total compensation, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The data are the latest available. 5/30/12 The Independent, UK: The IMF chief Christine Lagarde was accused of hypocrisy yesterday after it emerged that she pays no income tax â€" just days after blaming the Greeks for causing their financial peril by dodging their own bills. The managing director of the International Monetary Fund is paid a salary of $ 467,940 (£298,675), automatically increased every year according to inflation. On top of that she receives an allowance of $ 83,760 â€" payable without "justification" â€" and additional expenses for entertainment, making her total package worth more than the amount received by US President Barack Obama according to reports last night. 7/6/09 canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/12…: Michele Obama's personal staff: One.. $ 172,200 - Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff) Two.. $ 140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady) Three.. $ 113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary for Mrs. Obama) Four.. $ 102,000 - Johnston, Camille Y. (Special Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the First Lady) Five.. $ 100,000 - Winter, Melissa (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady) Yes, I know, The Canadian Free Press had to publish this, perhaps because America no longer has a free press and the USA media is too scared that they might be considered racist or suffer at the hands of Obama. And they love filthy rich elites like Pelosi, Kerry, Obama, Clinton, Clooney, Fonda, Frank, Reid, Moore, all the union leaders -- they love all who seek socialism for America. If Bush were to declare his devotion to socialism he'd be another democrat hero ten seconds afterward. Best answer for Why don't democrats whine about rich democrats and socialists?:

Answer by vanilla sky
Liberals, should look in the mirror and poop or defecate in their bathroom sinks like an OWS protester. My question: Why do Liberals wet their pants until age 13 then start doing it again public when they go off to college?

When it comes to Democrats, nothing beats stupidity.

Good question. I never understood why they cry about the rich...and then run to the rich asking for money...weird.

1. The IMF is an international organization, not a national government entity. 2. You are citing articles about government salaries in the UK, and asking why American Democrats are not outraged at how much the UK is paying it's civil servants. Think about that for a second. 3. Socialism in theory, if you knew anything about political philosophy, is counter to the examples you gave above.

Answer by Seven In One Stroke
The fallacy of petitio principii, or "begging the question", is committed "when a proposition which requires proof is assumed without proof", or more generally denotes when an assumption is used, "in some form of the very proposition to be proved, as a premise from which to deduce it". Thus, insofar as petitio principii refers to arguing for a conclusion that has already been assumed in the premise, this fallacy consists of "begging" the listener to accept the "question" (proposition) before the labor of logic is undertaken.

They should pay the same amount of tax as everyone else on there income! I am just as applaud if labour candidates don't pay the right amount of tax, as if it was a conservative. But it's normally them asking for higher tax rates, so they have to pay more. Few things though, the SUN is a right leaning news paper, a murdock paper and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Murdock papers have been caught breaking lots of laws over here. the head of the IMF isn't what you'd call left wing. She favours government paying off it's debt, and not boosting the economy.

You must understand. The Democrats ARE the party of the rich. 1. They use divide and conquer strategies like the rich throughout history. (Affirmitive Action for example) They break people down into group for control, pandering, and to keep these little groups fighting among themselves, and NOT directed at opposing more government control. 2. Their patrons were first rich slave holders and now are rich bankers. 3. The Democrat congresses of 2007 through 2010 gave more money to fat cat financiers/bankers and auto makers than the sum of all Republican congresses in the history of the United States. 4. The impetus of Democrat tax plans is on the high annual income, and NOT on accumulated wealth. 5. OWS is a growth of ACORN which is controlled by Obama. This is why they never accost the Democrats. The Democrats don't hate the rich, they ARE the rich. "The purpose of giving the government more power is so the government has more power." - Midnyteryder1961
